What’s new
FilesPal updates itself in the background and checks every update’s signature before installing it. Here is what each version brought.
Version 0.9.2
- Emergency access. Choose a trusted person and the folders they may reach. If they ask for access with their link, you hear about it right away and can deny it during a waiting time you set, from 1 to 30 days. After that, the folders open. The folders stay end-to-end encrypted.
- Sharing with family and your tax advisor. Invite them from Shared. They open what you share in the browser and can add documents to your Inbox. Everything is end-to-end encrypted.
- Private mode protects your PC. If the graphics card runs out of memory, FilesPal carries on with the processor instead of hanging, and tries the document again.
Version 0.9
- Send to › FilesPal. Right-click any file in File Explorer and choose Send to › FilesPal. On Windows 11, it’s under “Show more options.”
- Learning you can see. When you file a document somewhere else than suggested, FilesPal shows what it learned, with Undo right next to it. Rules › Learned lists everything it has learned.
- Deadlines in your calendar. On Upcoming, choose Add to my calendar: Google Calendar or Outlook.com, or an .ics file for Apple Calendar, Thunderbird and Outlook. Adding again updates what is already there, so nothing appears twice.
- Snooze. Move a reminder to tomorrow, in 3 days, next Monday or a date you pick.
- More scanners. Besides scanners with a WIA driver, FilesPal now works with 64-bit TWAIN scanners and with network scanners that need no driver (AirScan or Mopria).
- Unlock with one click. The Unlock button in your license email opens FilesPal with your key filled in. Select Activate, and Premium is on.
- Better with US paperwork. Names and folders for US bills, bank statements, pay stubs and tax forms are much more accurate.
- Big imports stay smooth. Adding hundreds of files at once no longer overwhelms the AI. Documents take turns, and a brief hiccup is retried on its own.
Version 0.8
- New design. It follows your Windows text size and high-contrast settings.
- Vault, overview, money. A vault protected by Windows Hello, an annual overview, and your subscriptions and expenses at a glance.
- Share safely. Redact before sharing, translate documents, and fill in and sign PDFs.
